Sooo I didn’t reach my goal of 50 books in the Good Reads Challenge . I joined this as a generic challenge as by the time I began blogging, it was already March and I couldn’t be bothered joining any challenges other than this one. I knew I was aiming high but oh well, 34 ain’t so bad considering what a slow reader I am…I did start some last minute panic books on Christmas Day to see if I could try my luck but nope lol that didn’t work
Good Reads has done a lovely summary of my year in books and here are some fun facts:
My average rating was 3.2 – I must rate hard lol….but I’m not surprised there, takes a lot to draw me in!
My longest book, at 400 pages was “Banner’s Bonus” by Carole Ann Lee – One of my books in 2016 I didn’t review.
Looking at my covers I really liked my historicals and alien romances hehe – I do seem to like my escapism don’t I?
Here is a screenshot of all the books I have read, seen from highest rated to the lowest!

I have three books I have yet to finish that I started in 2016….Getting there slowly with them… Have to finish up with Mary Balogh’s “Someone To Love” and my Christmas anthology – should have probably started this sooner than X-mas day haha….The last one is “The Charm School” by Susan Wiggs which was actually a re-read for me so its on the backburner for now….I’ll get there eventually….
Even though I didn’t manage to complete my reading challenge, I did manage to achieve one major life goal I set for myself and that is starting this blog! It was something I have been trying to do for the last six years but just never managed to do get it perfect and finally it worked out last year so I’m really chuffed about this achievement :). The blog has encouraged me to read more, write better, read slightly faster and of course diversify my tastes and authors! Netgalley has also been great to use and discover and I’m really looking forward to using it even more!
I’ve been having a blast so far blogging, chatting books, discovering other like minded readers and of course reading, so a HUGE CHEERS to bring on 2017!
