As I’ve had the time to read more books this year & am spending more time on the blog, I developed my rating system according to my thoughts & feelings post read. I kept the helm system similar to Good Reads, as they don’t allow half stars & I wasn’t into half stars anyway. My mind is starting to change the more I read as half stars need to be there! Some books firmly belong in half star territory in my head because I can’t justify a rounding down or rounding up.
So, with these thoughts, I’m going to also add a 3.5 & 4.5 helm rating! I think those extra ratings will help to sort out the books a bit better in my head. I will try to stick to whole star ratings as much as I can, but I realise that some books just fall in-between and like to stay there So please welcome my two new ratings below!
Lower The Dinghy (4.5 helms)
Fantastic read! Definite keeper potential with minimal flaws, that didn’t detract from the story. Comes highly recommended by me! Read it NOW!
Coordinates Discovered (3.5 helms)
Above an average or forgettable book. It could be the author, characters, setting or writing that made it just a tad more memorable. Buy or borrow & judge for yourself!
This should help sort out some top tier books even further Let me know your thoughts!
